This demonstration in German shows a video news application from n-tv, a German television news broadcaster, running on a mobile phone.

Through this live service, you can make a video call on your 3G phones to 22868 and n-tv-Kompakt will deliver video-based news, business and weather information. The service is available over all top German mobile networks using the same telephone number.

After making the video call to 22868, you can select the latest news, business news or weather forecast from a graphical menu using the phone’s keypad. The video clips are optimized for mobile phone displays, and with a length of 99, 66 or 33 seconds provide a perfect way to quickly get up-to-date information when you are on the go.

If you are using a mobile phone, that does not support video calls, n-tv will deliver the news service in audio format only.
