Bergisch Gladbach, January 22, 2009 - VoiceObjects Germany GmbH, a Voxeo subsidiary that is the leading provider of automated phone self-service application development, deployment and analytics solutions, today announced the general availability of VoiceObjects 7.4. In addition, the VoiceObjects Developer Portal site has been extensively expanded to best support developers working with VoiceObjects products.

Support for interactive 2-way SMS applications
VoiceObjects 7.4 now supports two-way interactive text applications via USSD and SMS. VoiceObjects text application architecture follows a flexible, extensible adapter approach that enables support for a wide variety of SMS and USSD gateways. Organizations can extend their automated self-service offerings using this new functionality, providing users of mobile phones a powerful and efficient text-based self-service interface. Moreover, new customer segment can be served via new communication channels, delivering automated self-services that are extremely cost effective.

Security enhancements
VoiceObjects 7.4 features two new user roles that increase security within the VoiceObjects platform. “Observer” users get a “read only” view into the VoiceObjects platform. “User Managers” can create and modify VoiceObjects user accounts, but not modify applications or configurations. VoiceObjects 7.4 also supports customer configurable password policies to control password length, complexity, and expiration. These new options are especially valuable for security intensive customers in government, financial, and other markets.

Support for additional VoiceXML Platforms
Support for Nortel ICP and Voxeo Prophecy 9.0 VoiceXML platforms has also been added in VoiceObjects 7.4. VoiceObjects supports over 30 different VoiceXML platforms today. For a complete list of all platforms and versions supported please visit www.voiceobjects.com/platforms.

“In addition to Voxeo’s own Prophecy VoiceXML platform, VoiceObjects will continue to support more industry-leading VoiceXML platforms than any other telephony application server available”, said Jonathan Taylor, CEO of Voxeo Corporation. “The other new features in VoiceObjects 7.4 further reduce the cost and complexity of large-scale phone application development and reinforce VoiceObjects leadership position in this market.”
