Excelsis Signs One of Europe’s Biggest Cable Network Providers

BERGISCH GLADBACH, Germany and STUTTGART, Germany – June 25, 2007 – VoiceObjects, the leading provider of adaptive self-service voice portals, and EXCELSIS Business Technology AG, a leading provider of speech portals and voice solutions, today announced that Kabel Baden-Württemberg (Kabel BW) chose Excelsis to deliver voice-driven service portals.  Excelsis won the bidding for the Kabel BW project.  Kabel BW has more than 2.3 million customers, offers “Triple-Play” service that includes cable TV, broadband Internet, and telephone, and is one of the cable network providers in Germany and throughout Europe.

“We are very excited about this important customer win.  Kabel BW is another important Exclesis customer in the television and media segment,” explained Excelsis’ Chairman Christian Sauter.  The Excelsis software is already in use in many well-known television and media companies, including the digital television market leader in Switzerland, Cablecom, the biggest cable network provider in Germany, Kabel Deutschland, located in Unterföhring, 9live, Germany’s first quiz channel, and DRS, a radio station in Switzerland.

Using the Excelsis software, companies are able to deliver voice-driven customer service, which improves their services and reduces cost at the same time.  “Our software covers the whole spectrum of innovative voice automation.  With the deployment of our best-in-class development and server software, which is based on patented technology we licence from VoiceObjects, we can provide automated service to our customers that wouldn’t have been possible a short time ago,” said Sauter.

“We’re delighted to work with Excelsis to provide our phone application server technology as the software infrastructure for this exciting project with Kabel BW,” said Beatriz Infante, president and chief executive officer, VoiceObjects.
