VoiceObjects Closes Quarter with New Products, Customers, Partners
Phone Application Server Leader Expanding Following Company Launch
SAN MATEO, Calif., Nov. 1, 2006 – VoiceObjects, the phone application server company, today announced that it has closed its first fiscal quarter since its recent launch, having successfully added new products, customers, and partners during the quarter. On July 18, 2006, the company launched itself in the US, announcing a $10.8 million venture capital expansion financing, new key board and executive management team hires, and the availability of VoiceObjects 6, the world’s first phone application server.
“VoiceObjects’ achievements during the quarter affirm the company’s business strategy and are a testament to the attractive business benefits offered by our phone application server,” said Beatriz Infante, chief executive officer of VoiceObjects. “Market-leading companies are adopting VoiceObjects Server, signaling the end of generic IVR systems and the beginning of next-generation personalized automated phone systems.”
Customer and Partner Highlights
During the quarter, VoiceObjects signed important new customers, including Kellogg’s, the world’s leading cereal producer. Kellogg’s selected VoiceObjects to power an automated time and attendance management system that will collect data from employees over the phone. Kellogg’s employs more than 25,000 people in 17 countries.
Three new mobile carriers also signed as VoiceObjects customers, each seeking to provide superior customer service to its growing subscriber base or to deliver new phone-based services to its customers. Mobile phone giant O2, which has more than 30,000,000 fixed and wireless customers in Europe, added 800,000 new mobile customers in the first part of 2006. Poland’s PTC Era supports more than 9,000,000 users. Finally, UK-based Sabio selected VoiceObjects to power a new phone-based service from a global mobile phone company.
VoiceObjects also forged important strategic partnerships this quarter, including with Cognos, the global leader in business intelligence and corporate performance management systems. VoiceObjects is building an interface that will allow customers to use Cognos to analyze dialog data to pinpoint problem dialogs, to identify caller patterns, and to leverage this information to enhance voice-driven phone applications.
VoiceObjects also announced a strategic alliance with Unisys. Under the terms of the agreement, Unisys will integrate VoiceObjects 6 phone application server technology into its next-generation messaging solutions, which may include advanced messaging, visual voicemail and other applications demanded by Unisys customers.
